We have some outstanding Glass artists in the Gallery. Throughout the Fall, Winter and Early Spring you may catch a class of Bob's and watch them create beautiful paper weights or bowls using the glass kiln. Or maybe in the evening you can join one of our glass jewelers in creating a masterpiece for yourself. Our glass works classes span from glass blowing to jewelry to creating pieces to hang from your wall or window. Whatever it is you would like to learn in this media we have the folks here to teach you.

Glass Fusing for Beginners with Marianne Hite

Come take a fusing class and melt glass colors together into your own unique designs! Learn how to cut and assemble glass for fusing; learn about firing schedules and techniques for translating your ideas into glass artwork.

What is Glass Fusing? Glass Fusing is the melting of compatible glass together to make one unique glass piece. Most tools are supplied. This special GLASS is NOT supplied and there are a few other items you will need to purchase. Please purchase system 96 glass. Glass can be purchased locally or mail ordered.

Glass Blowing Classes with Bob Pozarski

All classes are five hours and limited to four students. Class time will be divided among explanations on the use of all glass-blowing equipment, demonstrations, and hands-on instruction, while emphasizing safe studio habits.

In these five hour workshops, students will make two projects each. All class sessions are limited to four students, and classes fill fast! Pay in advance to reserve your space.

Refunds only with 8 day notice, so we may fill the spot (the show must go on!)

With enough advanced warning, we can schedule the whole class for parties of four. Mondays and Fridays are possible for parties of four.

Beginning Glass Blowing with Bob Pozarski

This is a five hour workshop introduction to working with molten glass; some coordination is required!

One-day paperweight and beginning glass-blowing class, Saturdays from 11 am to 4 pm, Sundays from noon to 5 pm.

Dip molten glass from a furnace and shape it into a paperweight. Blow a bubble and shape it into a tumbler or small vase. Glass artist Bob Pozarski will walk you through the steps for beginning glass blowing.

Advanced Glass Blowing with Bob Pozarski

More five hour workshops with class size limited to 4 students per session. After taking a few beginning classes, you’re not actually advanced, but we only have the two offerings. Come in with a project idea and we’ll try to make it happen.

Advanced glass-blowing is for advanced students who have had at least two beginning classes and is designed to strengthen their skills.

Projects will be selected by the instructor and the student, based on the experience level of the individual student. We will attempt more difficult shapes and coloring techniques. Special classes to pull cane, work on handles; crooked goblet class.
